Access and Success offers support and programs to meet the needs of students who are parenting, or any student who is facing a basic needs emergency impacting their ability to access food, housing, medical care, child care, transportation, etc. All students are welcome to contact the program for questions. Any student who is raising a child is encouraged to meet with a staff social worker to learn more about services specific to students raising children.

Antonian Honors Program

High-achieving students interested in being intellectually challenged are encouraged to join the Antonian Honors program. Antonian Honors students enroll in four honors seminars and develop an interdisciplinary project their senior year. Enrollment in the program provides students with substantial research experience and connection to a community of engaged learners. Admission requirements include a 3.5 GPA.

The Butler Center supports the health and fitness goals of the entire campus community through dynamic programming and newly-renovated facilities. With a University ID, patrons can access the cardio room, group fitness studio, weight room, pool and gyms along with a wide variety of intramural programming. The Butler Center also supports 12 varsity athletic programs competing in a top Division III conference.

We provide a unique network of inclusive support to every student, no matter her faith or spiritual background. With close connection to the Sisters of St. Joseph, the Center for Spirituality and Social Justice offers programs and services (including Catholic, Ecumenical, Interfaith, and Spiritual) to help students stay or become engaged in their faith. Students can work personally with spiritual mentors or as a group in community or volunteer programs, and on social justice immersion trips.

Community Work and Learning (CWL) facilitates student leadership and positive community engagement through service-learning and student employment. In service-learning courses, community involvement is integrated into the curriculum, allowing students to apply their learning to real-world contexts. Our student employment opportunities include tutoring youth through the America Reads program; paid internships with local organizations through the Community Leaders program; and working with faculty or staff mentors as teaching, research, or program assistants through the Assistantship Mentoring Program (AMP). Encourage your student to explore these curricular and co-curricular community engagement experiences.

The main dining room serves breakfast, lunch, and dinner with a menu for everyone published weekly on the BITE app. Many selections of Grab-N-Go items are available in all food service outlets. The new Dew Drop Student Lounge proudly serves Starbucks beverages, bakery, Island Oasis smoothies and shakes. St. Kate鈥檚 students have many opportunities to earn credit toward their degree through study abroad. There are programs in over 50 countries worldwide and options to include internships, research, and service-learning. Scholarships are available and students are eligible to use their financial aid. Encourage your student to visit the annual Study Abroad Fair in February and to explore program options at stkate.edu/globalstudies 鈥 advanced planning is important.

Health and Wellness Clinic

Students can visit the health center for their medical needs. Our staff of certified professionals, including physicians, nurse practitioners and medical assistants, can provide diagnoses, treatment plans, prescriptions, lab tests, immunizations, mental health care and physical therapy. We will bill most insurance plans, but there is not a guarantee of coverage.

During the current COVID-19 pandemic, the Health and Wellness Clinic is committed to meeting the needs of our community. Some services may be offered online or virtually via telehealth. Health and Wellness will be offering COVID testing to students, faculty, and staff. Appointments are required. Please call the front desk at 651-690-6714 to schedule an appointment. We also create and implement campus policies to ensure the safety and well-being of each student. Math and Science
Our tutors can work with students one-on-one on a drop-in basis throughout the week. We also offer workshops and courses throughout the year for students wanting to improve their math and science skills. Study materials are available in print and online formats.

Reading and Writing
We are dedicated to helping students improve their written communication skills. No matter what major a student chooses, working with peer tutors will benefit her writing and reading skills. Our tutors are available for one-on-one sessions on a drop-in basis throughout the week.

Disability Services
We will work with students to ensure they learn as effectively as possible. We can help identify a student鈥檚 learning strengths and challenges, as well as provide information and academic materials in alternative formats.

Study Skills and Test Anxiety
Students learn in different ways, as we offer help in study skills, time management, test-taking, and coping with test anxiety.

Public Safety

The Department of Public Safety is staffed 24 hours a day, year-round. Officers are the first to respond in emergency situations such as medical emergencies, fires, suspicious activity, and other incidents where the safety of the campus community is concerned. We provide support for those who live on campus. Students can select roommates and housing through our office and participate in a variety of Residence Life activities throughout the year. A peer mentor or Resident Advisor (RA) supervises each floor community. Resident Advisors can assist with roommate issues, getting your student involved on campus, or other campus resources questions.

Student Accounts manages the billing statements and financial holds on student accounts. Ask your student to designate you as an authorized user on KatePay so you can receive billing statements and access their online account. We can discuss a student鈥檚 financial information with a parent or third party that is set up as an Authorized User in KatePay or if the student gives written permission by completing the 鈥溾 form.
