Designed for nurses with a BSN who want to achieve a doctor of nursing practice degree and prepare for certification as a pediatric nurse practitioner.

Open the door to a high-paying, rewarding career.

As a graduate of ÑÇÉ«Ó°¿â's Pediatric Nurse Practitioner program, you'll join a distinguished network of healthcare leaders who are transforming children's health across communities. Pediatric Nurse Practitioners play an essential role in well-child care and the treatment of acute and chronic pediatric health conditions. Doctorate-prepared nurses from ÑÇÉ«Ó°¿â graduate from a graduate nursing program with an excellent reputation. Our graduates stand at the forefront of pediatric healthcare, making profound impacts through innovative, compassionate, and evidence-based care.

  • Deliver family-centered care that considers the whole child within their community context
  • Improve patient outcomes through prevention-focused care

Through your DNP: PNP coursework, you will learn to be more than a healthcare provider. You will learn to lead, design, and implement quality improvement initiatives that advance healthcare quality through evidence-based practice. Graduates are poised to shape the future of pediatric healthcare delivery and make a lasting difference in children’s lives. You'll become:

  • A trusted partner to families navigating their children's health journeys
  • A community leader addressing social determinants of health
  • An advocate for children's health equity and access
  • An innovator in developing models of care delivery

While this is a full-time commitment, our program provides flexibility by offering a hybrid education model focused on effective online courses and highly interactive, in-person learning for core nurse practitioner classes. The program includes 810 hours of in-person clinical experiences facilitated by our dedicated clinical placement coordinator, who provides clinical placements for all nurse practitioner students. Courses are held one day a week, with intensive in-person learning experiences one to three times each semester. Students of all genders are welcome in this program.

ÑÇÉ«Ó°¿â has partnerships with many leading healthcare organizations in the region. These connections provide students with access to diverse clinical placements and future career opportunities.

In addition to the DNP: Pediatric Nurse Practitioner (PNP) degree, a PNP post-graduate certificate is available on its own or in conjunction with our DNP: Post-Master's degree. Contact our Graduate Admissions team to learn more.
