Doctor of Nursing Practice: Post-Master's

Complete the doctorate of nursing practice online in as little as 21 months.

Designed for working nurses with a master's degree who wish to influence change in healthcare settings and improve patient outcomes.

Be part of a proven program designed to produce leaders in nursing.

The curriculum at ÑÇÉ«Ó°¿â builds on your personal motivations and a tradition of 120+ years of clinical and educational excellence, leadership, and social justice.

The post-master's DNP is a rigorous, relevant, and challenging online program based on a cohort learning model; you will enter and proceed through the program with the same group of nurses. Courses in the DNP program are innovative and interrelated.

Class sizes are small, and students enjoy ready access to experienced faculty and community advisors and mentors. Strong faculty partnerships create powerful links between your coursework, professional interests, and academic goals during these experiences.

Driven by St. Kate's mission-based focus on social justice and leadership, our DNP program graduates are prepared to improve health outcomes through:

  • Evidence-based practice
  • Quality improvement project leadership
  • Application of healthcare economics and informatics
  • Facilitation of changes in health policy

During the program, you will apply quality improvement concepts to a DNP project with support from faculty and community advisors who are experts in their fields. The purpose of the DNP project is to improve health outcomes through change management and organizational leadership focusing on social justice in health care.

Students of all genders are welcome in this program. Please note that the Post-Master's DNP does not include coursework for Nurse Practitioner roles.
