Hands-on Experience in the Field and in our Modern Research Labs

ÑÇÉ«Ó°¿â's exercise science and nutrition program prepares students to become highly skilled professionals in the field.

Our two state-of-the-art research labs — Food Science and Women’s Health Integrative Research (WHIR) — allow students and faculty to explore ways of moving, fueling our bodies, and honing our athletic skills.

Our program offers a comprehensive curriculum that includes the following areas:

  • Exercise Science: You'll learn about the scientific principles of exercise and physical activity, including anatomy, physiology, biomechanics, and exercise physiology.
  • Nutrition: You'll learn about the science of nutrition and how to apply it to improve human health and well-being.
  • Exercise Physiology: You'll learn how the body responds to exercise and how to design and implement exercise programs to achieve specific goals.
  • Sports Nutrition: You'll learn how to develop and implement nutrition plans for athletes to improve their performance and recovery.
  • Clinical Nutrition: You'll learn how to use nutrition to prevent and treat diseases and improve chronic health conditions.
  • Public Health Nutrition: You'll learn how to develop and implement nutrition programs to improve the health and well-being of populations.

Courses like prepare you to sit for nationally recognized certifications such as the American College of Sports Medicine Certified Clinical Exercise Physiologist (CEP) exam.
