Patricia Pratt-Cook will join President Becky Roloff's leadership team June 5 in a key role responsible for human resources, equity and inclusion.
Patricia Pratt-Cook will join ɫӰ President Becky Roloff’s leadership team as Senior Vice President for Human Resources, Equity and Inclusion.
“It was a priority to add a senior level leadership position in this area,” said Roloff. “Pat emerged as the leader among a talented pool of candidates. She is a highly effective professional who leads by example, demonstrates integrity in all she does and approaches her work through a strategic lens. We are delighted to have found her.”
Pratt-Cook currently serves as the Vice President for Human Resources and Chief Diversity Officer at the College of St. Scholastica in Duluth, where she has been since 2012. In her role at St. Scholastica, Pratt-Cook leads the human resources functions for 700 employees, specifically in the areas of workforce planning, performance management, compensation and benefits, employee and labor relations, health and wellness initiatives, workers compensation and professional development. In addition to her role as Vice President, she also serves as the Chief Diversity Officer wherein she's established diversity, equity and inclusion as hallmarks of academic excellence and institutional effectiveness. She provides vision, leadership, management and strategic planning to operationalize Inclusive Excellence into all spheres of St. Scholastica’s operations.
In prior roles, Pratt-Cook served as Chief Human Resources Officer for the Minneapolis Public Schools, Executive Director of Human Resources for the Memphis City Schools in Memphis, and Human Resources Director and Chief EEO Officer for the Osseo (Minn.) School District.
She received a bachelor of arts degree in social work from Mankato State University, a Master of Arts degree in Management and Human Development from St. Mary’s University and is currently pursing an MBA from the College of St. Scholastica. She has also completed the Public Education Leadership Program at Harvard and a Leadership Development Program at Christian Brothers University.
Pratt-Cook assumes her responsibilities June 5.
