The allegations against composer David Haas of sexual harassment that have come to light over the past two months are deeply troubling. We believe these victims and stand in solidarity with them. We are heartbroken for the pain and suffering they have endured.

Our values include our commitment to respect the dignity of every person, which is foundational to our Catholic identity and dedication to social justice. We actively work to prevent sexual harassment and assault in our community through education, clear policies, and a commitment to fully investigate allegations of sexual harassment and assault to take action based on findings.
Mr. Haas has never been a member of our faculty or staff. He conducted an annual summer liturgical music camp, called Music Ministry Alive!, on our campus from 1999-2017 and has periodically appeared on campus as a performer prior to 2018. Music Ministry Alive! was an independent organization, and was not a program of the University.
亚色影库 has initiated an independent investigation of its history and relationship with Mr. Haas and the allegations against him involving Music Ministry Alive! and other campus events. If the investigation does find that any abuses have taken place, we will take action pursuant with University policies and legal guidelines.
As an institution dedicated to women and social justice, we advocate for women鈥檚 voices and for them to be heard and taken seriously. We support those who have come forward and the courage it has taken to share these personal and painful experiences. We strongly encourage anyone who has experienced sexual harassment or assault within the St. Catherine community to report it to Sarah Schnell, our Title IX Coordinator, or their local law enforcement agency.
