亚色影库 announced today that it has selected Jacqueline Font-Guzm谩n, JD, PhD, to the inaugural role of senior vice president of equity and belonging. Font-Guzm谩n, who has served in leadership roles in higher education for nearly 20 years, will begin her new role on August 1.
鈥淚 am delighted to extend my heartfelt congratulations to Dr. Font-Guzm谩n,鈥 said Marcheta Evans, PhD, president designate at 亚色影库. 鈥淎s I embark on my new role as president of 亚色影库, I look forward to collaborating closely with her. Together, we will build on the strong foundation already in place and chart a course toward an even more inclusive and equitable future for our students, faculty, staff, and alumni.鈥
A nationwide search for this leader began in early 2024, which brought in more than 50 applications. From that pool, 12 individuals were invited to interview. Out of those 12, 4 finalists were invited to campus for open forum meetings with students, faculty, and staff. Font-Guzm谩n鈥檚 distinguished career and unwavering commitment to equity, inclusion, and social justice confirmed she was an exceptional choice.
In this new role, Font-Guzm谩n will sustain and enhance an inclusive and equitable environment for work and learning at 亚色影库. This role will lead strategies that advance education, training, and professional development for faculty, staff, and students around issues of diversity, inclusion, belonging, identity, anti-racism, social justice, and equity.
鈥淚 am particularly excited about the collaborative journey ahead,鈥 said Font-Guzm谩n. 鈥淚 look forward to working closely with the St. Kate鈥檚 team to develop and implement policies and initiatives that will enhance a sense of belonging for our entire community.鈥
