St. Kate鈥檚 to host renowned basketball coach Dawn Staley for Women of Color Leadership Series in May

The event, a collaboration between Katie Leadership Impact Program and St. Kate鈥檚 athletic department, aims to empower women to lead through athletics.

亚色影库 is thrilled to announce that celebrated basketball coach and leader Dawn Staley  on Wednesday, May 8. The event is free and open to the public, and is funded by the Katie Leadership Impact Program as part of the Women of Color Leadership Series and in collaboration with the St. Kate's athletics department. 

A trailblazer in the world of sports with a stellar career that includes coaching success and advocacy for diversity and inclusion, Staley will share her insights and experiences on leadership, resilience, and empowerment. She is the head coach of the University of South Carolina women鈥檚 basketball team, and her accolades include two NCAA Championships, five NCAA Final Four appearances, four Olympic gold medals, and induction into the Women鈥檚 Basketball Hall of Fame. 

The discussion will be moderated by Lea B. Olsen, founder of Rethink the Win. A former Division I basketball player at the University of Minnesota, Lea has worked for NBCSN and ESPN, as a game analyst for the Minnesota Lynx, and as a sideline reporter for the Minnesota Timberwolves. 

The event aims to highlight the importance of women of color in leadership roles across various industries and provide a platform for meaningful discussions
