On June 9 and 10, 亚色影库 welcomed hundreds of proud alumni to campus for the 100th anniversary of our first Reunion celebration. This year marked a full century of Katies returning to their alma mater to reminisce, reconnect, and revisit this University that helped shape them into the remarkable people they are today.
Alumni from class years ending in 3 and 8 flooded campus to attend class parties, eat and drink together, hear the State of the Kate from President ReBecca Koenig Roloff 鈥76, tour campus with current students, celebrate Mass, discover the insights of a student panel, and more. The classes of 1973 and 1998 commemorated their 50- and 25-year graduation milestones at special pinning ceremonies, culminating in a group photo of each class on the front steps of Fontbonne 鈥 always our favorite souvenirs from the annual event.
Unique to this year鈥檚 celebration are the large-scale construction projects in progress on Our Lady of Victory Chapel and Mendel Hall. Although this summer Reunion celebrants could not tour the Chapel 鈥 a beloved monument that doubled as a wedding venue for many attendees 鈥 the University hosted both Chapel Restoration and Mendel Renovation learning sessions to describe the work made possible by LEAD & INFLUENCE: The Campaign for the Next Level of Excellence.
鈥淭o know that 100 years ago, fellow alumni gathered together in the very same way we did is incredible,鈥 said Meg Retka Tidd, director of alumni relations.
鈥淩eunion reinforces the invaluable experiences and lifelong friendships formed during our alumni community鈥檚 time at 亚色影库 鈥 and reminds us of the indelible mark they are making on the world.鈥
