亚色影库 announced today it has named Anupama Pasricha, PhD, the next Dean of the School of Business. Pasricha, a faculty member of St. Kate鈥檚 since 2005, has served as interim Dean of the School of Business since June, 2023.
鈥淲e are delighted that Dr. Pasricha will be continuing her outstanding history of innovation and excellent leadership at St. Kate's in her new role as Dean of the School of Business,鈥 said Dianne Oliver, PhD, co-provost and senior vice president, 亚色影库. 鈥淎nu鈥檚 global perspective, her collaborative and inclusive work as a leader, and her ability to bring people together around important issues that address the 鈥榥eeds of the time鈥 will position the School of Business to develop the programs that tomorrow鈥檚 leaders will need to succeed in the leadership challenges that await them.鈥
With over 30 years of global teaching and research experience, including 12 years in India, Pasricha has been a leader in innovative educational practices and integration of cultural perspectives. As the Fashion Design and Merchandising Department Chair for 10 years, Pasricha is a national voice in sustainable fashion, and has been a leader in commitment to sustainability at St. Kate鈥檚 and beyond, serving as a consultant in the field and presenting her sustainable fashion work in multiple venues. She uses this voice to build relationships with area corporations and donors, which provide important connections for students and resources to support the School of Business. Pasricha was awarded tenure in 2015 and promoted to professor in 2021.
Pasricha鈥檚 extensive knowledge and expertise in the field have earned her recognition as an award-winning educator. She received the Outstanding Professional award from the Minnesota Association of Family and Consumer Sciences in 2023. In 2017, Pasricha received the 11th Bonnie Jean Kelly and Joan Kelly Award for Faculty Excellence, a distinguished award that recognizes outstanding accomplishments in teaching and scholarship that bring external recognition to the University, regionally and nationally. Pasricha received the Minnesota Association of Family and Consumer Sciences (MAFCS) Outstanding Professional Award in 2023, which recognizes outstanding leaders who have contributed to the field of family and consumer sciences. In 2022, 2023, and 2024, Pasricha co-authored the annual Census of Women in Corporate Leadership, an annual report that is widely regarded as the leading source on women in corporate leadership. St. Kate鈥檚 remains the only institution in Minnesota conducting this important research, which includes women of color. She has also been instrumental in securing a grant that funds a summer workshop for high school students interested in fashion merchandising and design; this program has now run for two years.
鈥淚 have found St. Kate鈥檚 to be an ideal place for life-long learning and personal growth where all individuals are rendered in a positive and supporting environment to become transformational leaders,鈥 said Pasricha. 鈥淭his growth has enabled me to bring forth progressive influence on my students, colleagues, and community.鈥
Pasricha holds a Doctorate of Philosophy and a Master's in Education, both in Family and consumer Sciences Education, from Iowa State University in Ames. She also obtained a Master of Science and a Bachelor of Science from Delhi University in India. Other professional honors Pasricha has earned over her career include mentoring an award-winning entry at the American Association of Textile Chemists and Colorists Merchandising Competition in 2023; the inclusion of her name on the Name Dress created in 2019 to honor the accomplishments of women in STEAM fields and displayed for one year at the Ferragamo Museum Sustainable Thinking Exhibition in Florence, Italy.
