This year, after the COVID-19 pandemic postponed one Reunion and moved the next online, hundreds of ŃÇÉ«Ó°żâ alumni walked through the campus gates to reconnect with old friends and classmates, relive St. Kate’s days, and forge new ones — finally back together on the campus that holds so many memories for them.
June 10 and 11 offered a variety of activities for alumni of class years ending in 2 and 7, such as learning spotlights with faculty members and updates on progress in LEAD & INFLUENCE: The Campaign for the Next Level of Excellence. The Classes of 1972 and 1997 celebrated their 50- and 25-year anniversaries, gathering for special pinning ceremonies. The many celebrants of Reunion years during the weekend included Mary Anne Duevel Schulte ’47, who marked a very special anniversary: 75 years since graduating from St. Kate’s.
In addition to events for specific class years, the University also held several events for the wider St. Kate’s community to celebrate being together in person again. On Friday, alumni of all class years, Sisters of St. Joseph of Carondelet, and faculty emeriti gathered at The O’Shaughnessy for Evening With St. Kate’s, where President ReBecca Koenig Roloff ’76 shared insight into the St. Kate’s of today. Friday also featured a celebration for BIPOC alumni of all years, and Saturday a celebration for LGBTQ+ graduates of all years.
With 52,991 living alumni in the St. Catherine network, Katies continue to shape our world — across the world — for the better.
“The education you received here, grounded in the Catholic Intellectual Tradition, gave you the tools you needed to succeed not just in your chosen careers, but also to stand out and lead in any challenge you embraced,” said President Roloff during the Class of 1972 pinning ceremony. “We are very proud of each of you and the accomplishments you have shared with the world.”
