Beth Bryant '21
Attorney

What made you want to get your LIS?
I have a passion for connecting people with information they seek. For 28 years, I have counseled people through family crises (mainly divorce work). I like helping people and finding the "right thing" for their needs.

What is your favorite memory from the program so far?
Professor Lesniaski's tour of the St. Kate's Library for the required Organization of Knowledge class, demonstrating some of the erratic "logic" of Library of Congress cataloging — informative and very funny!

What are your future career goals?
With my life experience, it could be so many things — working at and/or advocating for law libraries or public libraries, possibly obtaining credentials to work in the public school libraries.

What’s one special thing about yourself you’d like to share?
I collect Nancy Drew, Cherry Ames, and Alice in Wonderland books and items. I will never, ever "Marie Kondo" my book collection!
