On May 5, students from the Fashion Association hosted their annual Katwalk fashion show.
Katwalk is the culmination of everything the fashion students learn over the course of their program. Students are responsible for every aspect of the show, including event planning, promotion, creating the designs and hiring photography and modeling talent.
The show also features a sustainability component. The Apparel, Merchandising, and Design program integrates sustainable fashion practices into its curriculum, teaching students about upcycling, local sourcing practices and eco-friendly fashion. Each year, Katwalk features a line of designs created using these methods.
This year's show featured fashions created by 18 designers. Below are eight senior showcase pieces.
