For Catherine Fensom 鈥20, Liza Leja 鈥20 and Pat Schmatz 鈥20, a class project last fall provided an opportunity to live out one of the St. Kate鈥檚 core values. Tasked with creating a 鈥渟ocial justice action plan鈥 in a class on deaf culture, the three American Sign Language (ASL) students decided to look at police relations with the deaf community.
