Arson Incident Update

亚色影库 shared an update with the campus community today regarding the arson incident we experienced on January 17. This afternoon, the University learned via media (, ) that former student Tnuza Hassan was by a federal grand jury in the United States District Court of Minnesota on three counts: attempting to provide material support to a designated foreign terrorist organization, false statement, and arson.

The media coverage references letters given to St. Catherine students. The following is the information we have regarding the letters:

On March 27, 2017, three students on the St. Paul campus reported to University officials that they had received a letter from an unknown person or persons. The letter did not threaten students, faculty, staff, or the University, but did reference 鈥渏oin the jihad in fighting.鈥 The University turned the letters over to law enforcement, who immediately began an investigation. The University was requested to keep the matter confidential, which it did until today鈥檚 indictment. We remain in full cooperation with the authorities.

"We ask for your understanding of the complexity of this matter as it moves forward, your trust that we are communicating as we are able, and for your prayers," said President Becky Roloff.
