Andrew Melendres joins St. Kate鈥檚 as Senior Vice President for Enrollment Management

President ReBecca Koenig Roloff 鈥76 announced today the hiring of Andrew (Drew) Melendres, MBA, as the senior vice president for enrollment management at 亚色影库. Melendres was selected for the position following a national search and will join the University in July 2018.

鈥淲e are delighted to have Drew as part of the St. Kate鈥檚 community and for the leadership he will bring to this position,鈥 said Roloff. 鈥淒rew鈥檚 deep knowledge of and experience working with private, liberal arts institutions made him a standout candidate. We look forward to the creativity and insights he will bring to this role and helping reach prospective students who are the right fit for the University.鈥

In his most recent position, Melendres served as the vice president of strategic partnerships at Collegis Education, a higher education enrollment growth management company focused on private, nonprofit schools between 2,000 and 5,000 enrollments. In his role there, he partnered with colleges and universities to aid in better understanding what makes each school unique and distinctive, and bring this message to prospective students that are a good mission and programmatic fit for the institution.

Prior to this, Melendres was the vice president of enrollment management and student affairs at Metropolitan State University, where he increased enrollment through a data-driven reorganization in admissions, a process redesign in enrollment management, and collaborative partnerships with the university and community partners. Concurrently while at Metro State, he served as an associate consultant for Noel-Levitz, a higher education consulting firm, working with small, private colleges and universities on diversifying revenue streams to create continued enrollment growth. Before moving to Minnesota, Melendres worked for Texas Tech University, where he reorganized and launched four regional centers across the state of Texas to help increase the institution鈥檚 diverse student population.

Melendres earned his bachelor鈥檚 degree in economics at the University of Texas at Austin. He attended Texas Tech University for his graduate studies, where he earned his Master of Business Administration.
