Nearly 450 ÑÇÉ«Ó°¿â alumnae and guests descended on the St. Paul campus June 22-23 for the annual Reunion festivities. Reunion 2018 celebrated graduates from 1943, 1948, 1953, 1958, 1963, 1968, 1973, 1978, 1983, 1988, 1993, 1998, 2003 and 2008. There were also special Reunion gatherings for graduates of the Weekend College program and alumnae who participated in the Dolphins synchronized swim team.
Reunion kicked off with The Fundamentals, a one-woman show about the early days at St. Kate's, told from the perspective of the University's first president, Mother Antonia McHugh. Actress and alumna Megan Campbell Lagas '02, MAED '09 played Mother Antonia.
Alumnae Awards were presented to three alumnae during the President's Luncheon on Saturday, June 23. This year's winners were Catherine (Kay) Wilhelmy Bauer '59, Linda Theis Thrasher '88 and Kristen Vogel Womack '08. Also honored during the weekend was the class of 1968, celebrating its 50-year Reunion. Alumnae from the class of 1968 received gold pins from President Becky Roloff during a Friday evening class party. The class of 1993, celebrating its 25-year Reunion, received silver pins from the president during Saturday's President's Luncheon.
Reunion weekend also included class parties, campus tours, a Dolphins pool performance, learning opportunities, panel discussions, a yoga class, receptions and parties. New to Reunion this year was the Katie Expo, which featured alumnae artisans and business owners who shared their products and services with Reunion attendees. Reunion 2019 will take place on June 21-22, 2019 and will celebrate graduates from the classes of 1944, 1949, 1954, 1959, 1964, 1969, 1974, 1979, 1984, 1989, 1994, 1999, 2004 and 2009. Alumnae from the 2019 Reunion classes who are interested in serving on the Reunion Planning Committee can email Alumnae/i Relations to volunteer.
