Federal TEACH Grant
The Federal TEACH Grant Program provides grant funding for students who intend to teach in a public or private elementary or secondary school that serves low-income families. A maximum of $4,000 per year is available. Certain conditions and requirements apply to this program. We encourage any student who has been offered a Federal TEACH Grant as part of their financial aid award, or who thinks they may qualify for a Federal TEACH Grant, to carefully and thoroughly review the following information before committing to the program.
All students who wish to participate in the program must complete entrance counseling and an Agreement to Serve (ATS) on an annual basis. Students who fail to meet the terms of the Federal TEACH Grant program will have their grant revert to a , with interest retroactive to the point of disbursement of the grant.
Please note that students who are completing an undergraduate post-baccalaureate program at St. Catherine鈥檚 are not eligible for the Federal TEACH Grant program. Similarly, students who plan to teach as a generalist (across all subject areas) in an elementary school do not meet the requirements of the grant program.

Minnesota Student Teacher Grants
The Minnesota Student Teacher Grants provide post-secondary financial assistance to eligible students enrolled in Minnesota teacher preparation programs during one term in which the student is completing a required 12-week or more student teaching experience. There are two grants available based on eligibility:
The Minnesota Student Teachers in Shortage Areas Grant (formerly Teacher Candidate Grant). Provides postsecondary financial assistance to eligible students who intend to teach in a license shortage area or rural school district.
The Minnesota Underrepresented Student Teacher Grant postsecondary financial assistance to eligible students who belong to a racial or ethnic group underrepresented in the MN teacher workforce.
On a funds available basis, selected undergraduate and graduate students may receive awards of up to $7,500 for one term.

T.E.A.C.H. Scholarships
T.E.A.C.H. Early Childhood Minnesota is a scholarship program that helps early childhood and school-age educators increase their levels of education, compensation, and commitment to the field by earning college credits and degrees. This scholarship program is provided through and external organization, Childcare Aware of Minnesota.
