Orientation Details
This program will include an opportunity to learn more about what it means to be a St. Kate's student. New students can expect to hear directly from University staff about tools that support student success, become familiar with campus resources, learn to navigate Canvas, and more. There will also be a question and answer session at the end of the program to address any questions that were not covered.
This program will take place in a virtual format. You will receive specific details about joining the live session at a later date. You will also have access to an online orientation, which is hosted in Canvas.
Academic Program Meetings
Each academic program will host a program meeting for its new students. You should receive email communication from your program director with the date, time, and location or platform being used for your program meeting.
Accessing the Online Orientation Course in Canvas
Log into Canvas to access the St. Kate's General Student Resource Hub. You can access Canvas from the My St. Kate's Students page. Once logged into Canvas, you can self register for the hub by selecting "Courses" on the right, then "All Courses," "Browse More Courses," and finally click the "Join this Course" button on the general resource hub. Once you click "Enroll in Course," the resource hub will appear on your Canvas Dashboard.
Benefits of Participating
Orientation is the best way to learn about the resources available to you as a St. Kate’s student and prepare to start your program. New students appreciate the opportunity to connect with University staff and faculty — it makes it easier to reach out when you need them.
Come prepared with your questions as this is your chance to make sure you have all of the answers you need to start the semester off right.
