Fawzi Awad has a BS and MS in Environmental and Public Health from the University of Wisconsin and completed his PhD at Walden University. He is a seasoned healthcare professional with over 35 years of experience in the industry. Fawzi is motivated by challenges and rewarded through the seamless implementation of key quality and process improvement initiatives that lead to effectiveness. One of his career achievements was leading a Minnesota state-wide healthcare project from 2003-2007 which accomplished the tasks assigned with exceptional outcomes. He has  been teaching graduate and undergraduate courses at Capella University, School of Business, Technology, and Health Care Administration for the last six years. He has chaired several student research dissertations and capstone projects in the Doctor of Health Care Administration program. Fawzi teaches MGMT 4490: Strategic Management.
