Refund Schedules

What percentage refund are you going to get if you drop a course? It's important that you check the refund schedule that applies to your course.

Before dropping a course, check with the Financial Aid office so they can review your financial aid eligibility. They will determine what, if any, changes will need to be made if you make changes to your registration.

Global Studies and study abroad courses (including on-campus courses with an embedded program abroad) have a specific cancellation and refund schedule. For further information, contact the Office of Global Studies.

New College for Women Students Enrolling Fall 2024: Banded Tuition Refund Schedule Information

New College for Women students enrolling fall 2024 will be assessed tuition under the banded rate model will be charged the banded tuition rate if enrolled in 12-18 credit hours; therefore, tuition adjustments may occur only if the student drops below the banded amount or adds credit hours above the banded amount. To better understand the refund process for banded tuition, please see these examples:

Fall 2024

1st 5-Week Session

  • 100% refund if withdrawal occurs between Aug 26–Aug 28
  • 50% refund if withdrawal occurs between Aug 29–Aug 30
  • No refund if withdrawal occurs after August 30, 2024

2nd 5-Week Session

  • 100% refund if withdrawal occurs between Sep 30–Oct 2
  • 50% refund if withdrawal occurs between Oct 3–Oct 4
  • No refund if withdrawal occurs after October 4, 2024

3rd 5-Week Session

  • 100% refund if withdrawal occurs between Nov 4–Nov 6
  • 50% refund if withdrawal occurs between Nov 7–Nov 8
  • No refund if withdrawal occurs after November 8, 2024

Spring 2025

1st 5-Week Session

  • 100% refund if withdrawal occurs between Jan 29–Jan 31
  • 50% refund if withdrawal occurs between Feb 01–Feb 02
  • No refund if withdrawal occurs after February 02, 2025

2nd 5-Week Session

  • 100% refund if withdrawal occurs between Mar 3–Mar 5
  • 50% refund if withdrawal occurs between Mar 6–Mar 7
  • No refund if withdrawal occurs after March 7, 2025

3rd 5-Week Session

  • 100% refund if withdrawal occurs between Apr 14–Apr 16
  • 50% refund if withdrawal occurs between Apr 17–Apr 18
  • No refund if withdrawal occurs after April 18, 2025

Fall 2024

1st Half Semester

  • 100% refund if withdrawal occurs between Aug 26–Aug 30
  • 50% refund if withdrawal occurs between Aug 31–Sept 1
  • No refund if withdrawal occurs after September 1, 2024

2nd Half Semester

  • 100% refund if withdrawal occurs between Oct 21–Oct 25
